The made to measure stainless steel table bases are very strong,
and therefore don't need extra supports and ties under the table
(as you would with a wooden base), all you need is four legs!
Which means corner placement of the legs is possible, with no
other support. Corner placement is aesthetically the purest
too, giving a clean, modern, minimalist look. Even a very long
boardroom table (up to 5m!) can be made with stainless steel
and still only have four legs (still
corner placement). Image below shows a stainless steel table base with corner placement (3'x1' steel).
The stainless
steel base of your table is easy to keep clean, is very hard
and will not dent under normal use. Don't forget you can choose any material for your table top, for example glass or wood (oak, reclaimed wood, butchers block etc.).
As a bespoke
service you can decide the size, height and width of your table,
and the dimensions of steel tubing (1'x2', 1'x3', 2'x2' etc.)
used in its construction. Using this unusual rectangular tubing
gives a strong table base and looks very minimal. If the orientation
or dimensions of the tubing is changed you get many variations on the look, as you can see in the examples below.
The least expensive profiles are the 1x1 inch and 2x1 inch sections. Below is a diagram showing some profiles in which stainless steel can be sourced. Presently some of the larger dimensions are trickier to source than the others, due to current limitations in the UK stock.
